"Death and Life" inspired sterling silver pendant, featuring a high quality dendritic agate cabochon. The body of the pendant was created by fusing sterling silver wire and cast twigs together into an organic pattern. On the left side of the pendant is "Death," represented by a cast bird skull, and a hand fabricated mushroom cluster. On the right side of the pendant is "Life," represented by a hand fabricated birds nest with three small eggs, and a tiny, highly-detailed fern. Around the dendritic agate sits a textured full moon. The pendant is suspended at the top by a cast hawthorn swirl. On the back, my maker's mark, and an upturned crescent moon with very faint 14k gold accent.
The pendant is 1.75" long, and 1.25" at it's widest point. It comes with an 18" oxidized sterling silver chain, and handmade clasp.
All cast thorns, twigs and other nature bits are collected near my home in Appalachia and cast in small batches in my home studio. These pieces of nature are immortalized in silver.
