About Rumination Jewelry

I’m Cassidy, the one woman show behind Rumination Jewelry. I was born and still reside in a little town called Candler, right outside of Asheville, NC. The surrounding mountains here are ever present, visually and in thought, and offer a constant support, just as they have comforted my family for generations. I create textures in silver, often using a process called reticulation. Reticulation produces ridges and crinkles upon the surface of the metal. It is this texture that I utilize as a representation of the elements of nature: mountains, moons, and waters. I also use stones, marrying them with silver, framing these pieces of mountain and Earth to be left upon the altar of the body.
