Two handcrafted silver ferns and spirals, along with a deer with mushroom antlers, flank a bright green rosecut sphene. Under a silver moon phase motif, they are framed by a cast twig. The keyhole design of this locket symbolizes how special the treasures are that have been collected and stashed inside. The sides of this locket are created with fused silver dust, I often call this pattern stardust but it also is reminiscent of the detritus of the forest floor. The back features a cast hawthorn spiral.
Comes with an oxidized 22" sterling silver chain and handmade clasp. The pendant is 1.75" long and just under 1.25" wide. The clasp that opens the locket is handmade, please be sure to handle with care.
All cast thorns, twigs and other nature bits are collected near my home in Appalachia and cast in small batches in my home studio. These pieces of nature are immortalized in silver.
