The silver tie on this ring symbolizes the ancient Celtic ritual of handfasting, in which the hands are tied together to symbolize the binding of two lives. The ring is crafted from real twigs, life-cast into solid sterling silver.
All cast thorns, twigs and other nature bits are collected near my home in Appalachia and cast in small batches in my home studio. These pieces of nature are immortalized in silver.
