Sterling silver pendant adorned with a tiny green coffin cabochon, two crescent moons and the words "Memento Mori" on the back. Up top, a mushroom cluster growing out of forest detritus sit below a cast sterling silver twig. The chain hangs from a silver fused dust textured bail with small starburst. The apothecary vial is amber colored glass and holds 2ml.
Momento Mori means "remember that you must die." It is a reminder of our mortality, so that we may sieze the day in the here and now.
All cast thorns, twigs and other nature bits are collected near my home in Appalachia and cast in small batches in my home studio. These pieces of nature are immortalized in silver.
